The gap between how we imagine our lives to be and how they really are is the subject of Bill’s show LIMBOLAND. With his trademark intelligence and sharp wit, he tells tales of finding himself in this halfway place. From his countless global travels, he recounts the hilarious saga of a disastrous family trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights. He rails against a world that doesn’t match up to our expectations and contemplates the true nature of happiness. And no Bill Bailey show would be complete without music, so we have Bill’s version of the protest song, a heart-rending country and western ballad played on a Bible and a fabulously downbeat version of Happy Birthday. Having toured LIMBOLAND across the length and breadth of the UK, not once but twice, enjoyed a sell out run of the show in London’s West End and performed LIMBOLAND globally in places as far flung as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong, Bill chose to film his homecoming performance at London’s Hammersmith Apollo for this special DVD release, a Christmas must-have for any Bill fan.
Bill Bailey’s Limboland is available on DVD and Digital Download from 26th November 2018.
After the 2016 sell-out tour, Larks in Transit, Bill returns to Australia and New Zealand in September this year with his new musicomedy show, Earl of Whimsy. It has Bill’s trademark blend of satire and surrealism, stories and dismantled jokes, crowd sing-alongs, weird instruments and musical showstoppers. But there’s a distinctly historical feel to this show. With its tales of Britain’s fortunes past and present, of ancient Viking battles, of Shakespeare’s contribution to comedy, and Bill’s own ancestry, this is both a mockery and a celebration of national identity.
It’s also a journey of discovery. We find out where Knock Knock jokes came from, how we got days of the week, and why Nicky Minaj rejected a puffin sample for her latest single. There are lively audience discussions, a mass German singalong, and even some Cockney crab-dancing. Something for everyone.
THE PRESALE IS HAPPENING AS OF NOW, FOLKS, UNTIL MON 4 JUNE 5PM (local time)
Today we’re announcing a West End run of Bill’s current live show, Larks In Transit.
Bill will delight comedy fans when he takes up residence once again at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre in the heart of the West End, having last performed there during a sell out run of his show Dandelion Mind back in 2010.
Larks In Transit will be at Wyndham’s Theatre from Monday 3 December 2018 to Saturday 5 January 2019, tickets for which go on general sale 10.00am Thursday 26 April 2018 but here is a priority on-sale link for you to have a head start right now.
Larks In Transit is a compendium of travellers’ tales and the general shenanigans of twenty years as a travelling comedian. With musical virtuosity, surreal tangents and trademark intelligence, Bill tackles politics, philosophy and the pursuit of happiness. Plus, he fashions a symphony from a ringtone, tells the real story of Old MacDonald and re-imagines the Stars and Stripes. Two decades of touring larks from a comic described by The Telegraph as “the brainiest comic of his generation.”
Bill may have reached the end of the land with his Larks In Transit show, but it’s only the beginning of the tour so you’ve plenty of chance to catch him as he zig-zags the country in 2018.
Bill is set to bring a dusting of festive spirit to the capital for five nights this December with his live show ‘CHRISTMAS LARKS!’ A very special preview of his forthcoming tour show ‘Larks In Transit’, ‘CHRISTMAS LARKS!’ will feature everything you’d expect from a Bill Bailey live show, with an added festive twist.

I’m hoping to get an even bigger target this year. I also hope to highlight the brilliant work done by SU2C. And I’ll be posting photos and videos along the way to let you know how I’m getting on. Thanks and maybe I’ll see you on the trail.
